I started down this photography path officially in 2015 when I picked out my first DSLR camera. I spent hours pouring over specs, trying to figure out Nikon or Cannon, which price point would suit my needs, what lens stuff meant and it was a bit overwhelming. I finally decided to go with the Nikon D5200 and it was an amazing camera for me. I went with Nikon because it's what my dad had and he could help me out because UIs and language is similar across Nikon products and I could borrow his lenses. Fast forward 2 years (almost to the day) and I found myself once again looking at cameras. No, I had not outgrown my camera, but rather someone decided to break into my car and take it. It was a really bad day. I ended up getting and returning the D5600 within a couple hours and got a D5500. Hopefully I keep that for substantially longer than 2 years and that I get rid of it on my own terms.

I also said the word "official" when I talked about the DSLR I first got in the paragraph above. I have been doing video for a while with my Go Pro. I love taking action cams with me on the road (literally) when I am driving my car or riding my bike. I also love taking it when I am doing action sports on the slopes, in the water or on the ice. Check out my youtube page or look below to see some of the things I have created.
